I finally got around to finishing this painting, which was begun some years earlier, while I was still living in Germany. It is inspired by representations of "Shiva Nataraj", Shiva Lord of the Dance - also by my reading of a novel set in Bombay, called "Bombay Ice" - I'll have to check the author, it's a good book if somewhat gruesome. And of course to my voraciously listening to classical Indian music - recently supplemented by a growing collection of Bollywood tunes.
